The Media Men developed a multi-channel commercial video campaign for FEWLR, a digital marketplace that allows homeowners to receive competitive bids from local heating oil suppliers. The campaign was designed to reach multiple audiences through different creative approaches, combining clear product messaging with attention-grabbing storytelling.
“Stop Burning Your Money” Commercial

For the first video, we produced a comedic commercial titled “Stop Burning Your Money,” which visually dramatizes the cost of overpaying for heating oil. The concept leans into exaggerated visual humor — including the memorable image of an oil barrel burning cash inside a home — to deliver the message in a way that is both entertaining and instantly recognizable.
This project allowed our team to flex a wide range of production capabilities, including commercial concept writing, cinematography, visual effects, and custom foley sound design. All sound effects for the commercial were recorded and produced in-house, and the visual effects were crafted during post-production to heighten the comedic impact of the spot.

This video focuses on a straightforward homeowner explainer, presenting FEWLR’s live auction model in a clear, trustworthy format. This piece was designed to resonate with traditional homeowners who want a simple explanation of how the platform works and how it helps them save money on heating oil.

To expand the campaign’s reach across modern platforms, we also created a vertical social media version optimized for mobile viewing, ensuring the campaign performed effectively across Instagram, TikTok, and other short-form video platforms.
The final campaign assets were used across FEWLR’s website, email marketing campaigns, social media advertising, and television commercial placements, demonstrating how a single production can evolve into a full cross-platform marketing campaign.
